Firecrackers and Mexican San Andreas wrappers are two things I can’t get enough of.
This little guy has a pale brown wrapper and long tail of twisted tobacco from the cap to give it that fire cracker appearance. Normally I’ll let this additional wrapper burn with the cigar but this one is far too thick and interferes with the draw so I pulled it off after cutting the cap.
First few puffs give a generic MSA sweetness with black pepper on the retro. Malt begins to accompany the profile as the cigar burns. Ash is pure white and flakey. There’s a fleeting sour/harsh note on the finish which which becomes more present as the cigar progresses.
This is not a bad cigar but I can’t see myself revisiting it. Definitely the least favorite of all the firecrackers I’ve had over the years.

This little fella surprised me! The fuse-like head looks a bit silly and the whole presentation of the cigar gave off a feel that its a seasonal give away. With that said, it smoked great; straight to the point robust flavor! I’m not the biggest fan of short smoke cigars but this one really delivered in a small package. I also smoked this in pretty cold condition and I don’t think it really hampered the taste. At 6 bucks per, it’s not cheap but nonetheless a fun stick to have in the humidor.

It’s solidly ok. Not as strong as I expected, but still plenty of power there. Lots of pepper and espresso notes, up front and in your face. Is it terribly refined? Not even a little, but it’s not supposed to be. It’s a little kick in the nuts. Some folks are into that sort of thing, and I’m not here to kink shame anyone, but it’s just not my cup of tea. It burned fine. Solidly packed, good construction, and a good price for a little winter smoke.

This was a good solid short smoke. The name firecracker immediately gives one presumption that this little guy would be a pepper bomb. Not the case! It smoked more of a medium strength and body cigar.

I’ve tried a lot of the firecrackers over the years. Some were better than others and this one falls in the middle for me. The strength is there like always. From this I’m getting blk coffee, leather, and blk pepper. There isn’t great depth on this and it’s hard to have any transition on a short stick like this. It kind of gave me what I was looking for, which was a solid quick smoke.
