Foundation Highclere Castle Senetjer is a limited edition perfecto cigar that was created to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the unearthing of Egyptian Pharaoh Tutankhamun’s tomb. The boxes were designed in collaboration with archaeologists Colleen and John Darnell, who created a box that replicated one found in the tomb. The word “Senetjer” in ancient Egyptian means for incense, which has been translated as “of the gods” and “that which makes holy.”The Senetjer measures 6 3/4 x 52 and features an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper with Brazilian Mata Fina binder and aged undisclosed fillers. Highclere Senetjer is limited to 700 boxes produced. Get yours before they are all gone!

It’s a pretty fantastic smoke. If packaging and appearance are your jam, this is your huckleberry. Personally I’m more concerned with the performance and flavors, and this one had those in spades as well. Flavor profile includes plenty of meaty black pepper, raisin, plums, dark rum sweetness, and espresso. It’s a dynamic profile, shifting between the thirds, sometime becoming floral and jammy, sometimes ramping up in spice, it kept me guessing and engaged. The only reason I could go 5 stars on this guys was the price. Is it worth 30 plus bucks? Maybe, thats totally subjective. But when I can get two or three of Nicks Tabernacles for the same price, then it’s not something I will come back to often, if ever.

What an amazing cigar, not to mention some of the most elaborate packaging worthy of a Pharaoh. This cigar is one of the best offerings from Nick Melillo owner and blender from Foundation Cigars. Notes of raisin bran, cinnamon, and a bit of light leather notes, crescendo to a graham cracker, then on to coffee and cream with a hint of white pepper at the end. Such a great cigar. The cigar is a 6 3/4 x 52 perfecto that uses a 7th priming Ecuadorian habano wrapper, a funky jungle Brazilian mata fina binder, and a filler of undisclosed origin, but rumor has it that it is three-year-old tobacco. The expertly rolled cigars were made at AJ Fernandez’s factory. Do not miss this cigar. Definitely worth buying a few to be able to enjoy in the future on special occasions.

An intense experience with a complex range of flavours – lots of rich fruit and chocolate, with a good bit of exotic spices (and zero pepper). This honestly reminds me somewhat of a Padron to some degree, but milder in strength and substitution cream for pepper. To my palate (which prefers a mild-medium strength and body), this is a lovely experience. I do not normally smoke larger cigars like this, but I highly recommend it for the very unique flavour, superior construction, and fantastic packaging.
