The Guardian of the Farm Night Watch is wrapped in a shade-grown Corojo Maduro wrapper that Aganorsa Leaf has perfected at their farm in Jalapa Nicaragua. Beneath this is a Jalapa Corojo binder and Corojo and Criollo long-fillers from Esteli and Jalapa. A Nicaraguan puro all the way, this stick produces rich notes of leather, spice, toast, wood, and earth, and features a cool burn & pleasant finish.

I recently had a chance to grab one of these while on business travel in LA. Unfortunately, I was only able to enjoy about half of the stick before I had to leave for a meeting.
I was super stoked to try these at home and I had the first two this week. This is not a cigar for folks who don’t enjoy deep, full-strength cigars. I also must say this. I have read so many reviews in the last 6 months as I increase my cigar education. However, I don’t get it. I do not and have never tasted coffee, hay, raisins, dark cherry, espresso, or any of the other insane flavors these people speak of. I taste tobacco!
This cigar is about an 8 on the 1-10 scale of weak to strong sticks. That is where I have started to live. In that deeper, fuller, strong area and this one is pretty darn good!
Tip: Buy a five pack, instead of just a single cigar you want to try. Each cigar has different, subtle characteristics to it. If I am dying to try a cigar, I pick up 5 or so and see how I like them over the course of the smoking process.
This is possibly a box worthy cigar.
