This is my favourite of all Matilde cigars. It is way better in my opinion than the limited exposure no.2. I measure all the cigars by how far down I can smoke it before putting it away, and this is one of the few sticks that lasted till its burning my thumb. It is not the most complex blend out there, but it does not take away anything either.

I like most of what Matilde does. Love the skip barber Connecticut, love the limited exposure no.2. I was really looking forward to trying this. From this I got baking spice, almonds and a cedar note as well. The cigar smoked really good. Construction was great…. No issues there. I didn’t have a ton of expectations with this but it was pretty delicious and I was pleasantly surprised at how I liked this. Would definitely smoke again!

While I was expecting a sweeter profile based on some reviews, the dominant notes leaned more towards earth and wood. There were hints of spice, but the overall sweetness was subtle. The construction was solid, with a good burn. While it wasn’t a standout for me, it’s a decent option for those who enjoy earthier cigars.

For someone who isn’t a huge cigar smoker this is one I thoroughly enjoyed to the very end. The taste, though mild, was pleasant and did not turn bitter at the end. The aroma was not overpowering, and my mouth didn’t taste like formaldehyde for the rest of the day like with some cigars. This one definitely makes it to my favorites list

I have had a few Matilde cigars in the past, albeit they were the larger sizes and soft box pressed from what I remember. They were good but didn’t warrant a repeat buy as they were either too mild, or didn’t offer flavors that were in my wheelhouse in the formats that I tried. After Lucas and James raved about this one, I gave it a shot. I am glad that I did. This ‘Limited Exposure’ was definitely a surprise to my palate. The 6×50 toro, round parajo was in stock so I placed an order for a 5’er and have already smoked through 3 of them. This cigar offered a medium-bodied smoke, with notes of dried fruits and a subtle clove note every few puffs. There was some pepper on the retro hale but it was not too overpowering. It mellowed after the first third and had lots of smoke, a tight white ash. Definitely changed my opinion of Matilde cigars. I would definitely buy again.

Peppery and earthy, with a long finish of chocolate and raisin. Good construction.

The San Andres wrapper and DR binder and filler delivers a unique smoking experience. Peppery start but smooths out after the first 20min.

The wrapper from mexico gave the cigar an exceptional flavor, but I recommend keeping it into the humidor for a few months to see the evolution of aging.
