The Peter James Los Estoico premium cigar is a craft passion project born out of a desire to create the perfect casual cigar. On this journey of crafting the perfect casual cigar, we quickly realized that we needed to curate a cigar that embodies the same essence as the Habano, but with more muscle to pack a bolder, flavor punch. Et viola, the bolder big brother on the schoolyard playground was born. Slightly more robust that delivers an elegant body with noticeable notes of dark chocolate, freshly roasted espresso bean, with an earthy finish. The Maduro has your back on those post-meal situations when a little more muscle is required.

This was an interesting smoke with a unique flavor make up. There was a strange herbal component in the first few inches that made me think of cilantro. That’s not quite what it was but that’s what came to mind, and that was a first for me. It had some nice roasted meaty quality to it too. Dark flavors and a decent strength. The first half didn’t smoke terribly well, it was a bit of a spongy draw. It opened up fine eventually and I was able to enjoy it for the most part.
