LE PETIT by LES FINES LAMES is very easy to operate and provides the cleanest of cuts you can imagine. It is also simple to open with one hand thanks to the lever extending the blade, typical feature of Piedmont Folder Knives.
It’s built-in 23 mm aperture can cut a 58 ring gauge cigar in half. Depending on how much cap you cut, you can cut up to a 70 ring gauge cigar.

I was hesitant at first to spend the money on a new type of cutter (for me). I purchased the Les Fines Lames Punch Bracelet and was really impressed with the quality. So now that I know they make a great looking product I decided to try the knife. It took me a few cigars to get the hang of it, but now it’s my everyday cutter. The tension screw that holds the blade to the handle did take a little bit of playing with to get just right. It would work itself loose and requires a bit of re-tightening, but after a few times it finally seems to be sitting just right. Don’t forget to get one of the leather sheaths to protect your investment. Should you buy one? The answer is yes, you need to. Would I buy another? Absolutely!

It being a natural wood product, the wood handle has more of a Brown-Redish hue color to it. Does not exactly match the photos provided by Les Fines Lames. That is only knock I have against the Le Petit. Still it is a very nice color and I love the idea that it is made of Olive wood. It makes an excellent Everyday Carry but I plan to use it only for cigars (nope, I will not be cutting up lemons or gutting a fish with it).
Looking at the assembly, it appears one can disassemble the knife to clean it and maintenance the knife which gets me to love the cutter even more.
