I will be honest that I bought this cigar because I had heard great things about this brand but hadn’t tried one before. My favorite color is orange so this was the first one I tried.
At first glance, this has a beautiful ornate band, and the wrapper is oily and reddish brown leaf is very attractive. The cigar feels well filled.
Off the cut, there are some odd aromas of petrol and vegetables. Upon lighting it there was some strong kerosene notes that took a bit of time to work through. Once I got beyond the first third it calmed down, and there was a basic tobacco flavor.
The burn struggled midway through and I had to work to get much smoke out of this one. The last third was the best but still left me wanting.
This is my first cigar from this company, so I won’t hold that against them but I would pause before buying quantity before I smoked a single.
Maybe it’s just the one cigar I had, but I had hoped for more from this, and at the price point will exercise a bit of caution trying others from Casa 1910.
