The Azul y Oro is Crowned Head’s first LE to be rolled at NACSA. It is a nod to the bottle of Scotch that Mike Vondor and Jon Huber gave Gustavo Cura in 2011. Now that Cura is leading the NACSA factory, the Azul y Oro bares the name of the colors on that bottle of Scotch. The Azul y Oro features an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper, over a Nicaraguan binder, and Dominican and Nicaraguan fillers. Only 2,500 12-ct boxes were produced.

If you’ve enjoyed past Crowned Heads releases like the Buckeye Land and Tennessee Waltz, this release will be right up your alley. Dark and bold, this cigar starts off strong and stays that way through the middle. It mellows out with the pepper subsiding and charred meat tones come through. Great after dinner smoke.
