The Blessed Leaf projects hold a very special place in our hearts—practically sacred!
Those who know us know that we pull out all the stops for every Blessed Leaf blend that we create—Going way beyond what even we think we’re capable of!
Blessed Leaf cigar releases are a way for us to share and celebrate our faith in Christ. So they all have to be perfect!
It is the absolute best of our best!
Blessed Leaf LION OF JUDAH is the culmination of a project we started back in 2018. We’ve been secretly collecting the rarest and vintage-aged tobaccos…and setting them aside just for this blend!
After all these years of meticulous blending, the result is a tremendously rich and decadent cigar…with flavors and complexity that are unrivaled!
I’d go so far as to say “Divinely inspired”!
Blessed Leaf LION OF JUDAH is a full-bodied, med/full-strength 6×46 skinny toro. The wrapper is a 10-year-aged Corojo 99 rosado wrapper. Binder and filler tobaccos will remain a closely guarded secret. But all tobaccos are 6-12 years aged!
The first light is extremely rich! Caramel, leather, toasted almond, and white pepper blast across the palate. Hints of brown sugar, hazelnut, and cinnamon follow. The finish is very creamy and lingers long on the tongue. The retrohale is strong adding a black pepper burn.
As it progresses, heavy cream, sugar cane, cocoa, and black tea appear. Cashew and milk chocolate begin to emerge as well.
Halfway, the blend rounds out. The body becomes very silky and creamy balanced by red pepper and cedarwood. The finish becomes sweeter with notes of vanilla bean and cappuccino.
Last third, everything intensifies and becomes very chocolatey! Raw leather, black coffee, and amaretto are added to the mix. Clove and nutmeg tingle the tongue. Bourbon flavor emerges and remains all the way to the nub! Absolutely incredible!
Blessed Leaf LION OF JUDAH is a sophisticated and sultry cigar! The perfect combination of complex and rich flavors with impeccable balance and strength!

I was pretty disappointed with this one, I had been recommended this one multiple times as being one of Ezra Zion’s better blends and also really fitting my preferences for a relaxing, mellow smoke. The two I smoked were surprisingly gritty and peppery. It makes me think I’ve had terrible luck and just had the outliers since my experience contrasted others so greatly

With most of the EZ offerings, the one’s they label as Blessed Leaf are always some of their best releases. The Lion of Judah is no exception. This is a medium-to full-bodied cigar, but super smooooooth smoke. You can really tell these are made from well aged tobacco. All kinds of baking spice, roasted pecans, and dark leather notes linger on the palate. The size is great at 6×46 corona gorda or as they call it, skinny torro.

You can really taste the age in the tobacco here. Excellent stuff.
