I smoked this before in Churchill vitola and I loved it. Then I brought the robusto size and I’m not quite digging it. The churchill one got nice transitions and I got notes of sweet chocolate, espresso, leather and creamy smoke texture.
For the robusto size, It is quite pepper heavy and no transitions. I’ve got a few sitting in my humidor for a few years now, hopefully it gets better.
Gave 4 stars since I love the churchill but not so much the robusto.

These are good cigars when they’re fresh, but if you have the patience to let them sit a few years they become absolutely stellar. Lots of dark cocoa and fresh black pepper right off the top, espresso with cream and raw sugar to finish. If you can wait a few years the grit comes out of the pepper and they become really really well balanced. Great price too, pick up a box and hide it from yourself.

This Robusto tasted like we had dark chocolate covered coffee beans that you buy in a coffee shop. It is a great valued smoke for this everyday cigar. The burn was excellent as well as the draw. The second and final third really came up in terms of smoothness and flavor. The chocolate and coffee notes faded a bit and I started to get nuttiness and earthy notes.

Don’t usually buy La Aroma De Cuba, don’t know why, just don’t. Can’t say I was a fan of this cigar. Not a huge fan of spice in cigars and this was spice heavy at least for my palette.
