Abuelo cigars offer a taste journey that’s as reliable and nuanced as the elders for whom they’re named. The initial earthy spice is complemented by subtle sweetness as the cigar warms, while notes of leather and black pepper arrive in the background. Smokers may also identify flavors of molasses, raisins, and roasted coffee—adding to the complexity and inviting easy appreciation for new and experienced smokers alike.
The construction is sound and the vitolas echo classic shapes, likened by reviewers to Tatuaje Britannica for their satisfying hand feel. While some found Abuelo less exciting compared to United’s most premium offerings, others praised its consistent flavor and enjoyable, comfortable profile. “10/10 would smoke this again,” raves one satisfied aficionado.

Of all the United cigars I’ve tried, I think this was the least exciting but it wasn’t bad by any means. The vitola was interesting for sure and the smoke output was decent. Construction was decent, but not like the Atabeys or Byrons I’ve had.

I enjoyed this quite a bit. Molasses, black pepper, raisins, leather and coffee in the profile. Not super complex but consistently tasty all the way through. The construction was good, and I dig the size and vitola, it reminds me of Tatuaje Britannica. 10/10 would smoke this again.
