The Arturo Fuente Casa Cuba represents a significant milestone in the Fuente family’s illustrious history, being their first new brand release since the legendary Opus X debuted in 1995. This distinguished cigar holds a special place in the Fuente portfolio as it was the last blend created by the late Carlos Fuente Sr., making it a true collector’s item and a living tribute to his legacy.
A Blend Steeped in Tradition
The Casa Cuba features a meticulously selected blend that pays homage to the early days of cigar making:
- Wrapper: Ecuadorian Havana Grade 1
- Binder: Dominican Republic
- Filler: Cuban-seed Dominican-grown long-filler
Carlos Fuente Sr. crafted this blend to replicate the cigars he used to make with Cuban tobacco in his early years, stating “I blended this cigar the way I used to blend Cuban tobacco.” This approach creates a smoking experience that transports you to Old Havana, capturing the essence of traditional Cuban cigar craftsmanship.
Exceptional Flavor Profile
The Casa Cuba delivers a medium-bodied smoke with remarkable complexity and balance. Each draw reveals a sophisticated progression of flavors:
- Initial notes of spice and wood that elegantly transition to cloves and citrus
- Middle progression featuring nutmeg and baking spices
- A finish profoundly redolent of rich, dark chocolate
- Subtle undertones of cedar and leathery creaminess throughout
Distinctive Vitolas
The Casa Cuba line features six distinctive sizes, each named after dominoes pieces, reflecting the cultural heritage that inspired this blend:
- Doble Cinco: 5″ x 50 (Robusto)
- Doble Cuatro: 4½” x 54
- Doble Seis: 6″ x 52 (Toro)
- Doble Tres: 5½” x 44 (Corona)
- Doble Dos: 6½” x 42 (Lonsdale)
- Divine Inspiration: 6â…›” x 47 (Corona Grande)
Award-Winning Excellence
The exceptional quality of the Casa Cuba has been recognized by industry experts, with Cigar Aficionado awarding the line 90+ point ratings. The April 2016 issue specifically highlighted Casa Cuba with a superb 91-rating, cementing its status as a premium offering in the Fuente portfolio.
A Cigar with Heritage
The Casa Cuba name has a rich history dating back to 1956 when it was first registered by the Casa Cuba Cigar factory of Tampa, FL. The Arturo Fuente Cigar Company acquired the brand in the late 1970s, but it remained relatively low-key until its triumphant showcase at the 2013 IPCPR Tradeshow, where it became another showstopping addition to the Fuente family’s legendary lineup.
Experience the Arturo Fuente Casa Cuba today – a rare gem that honors tradition while delivering an unforgettable smoking experience worthy of the Fuente name. Available in boxes of 30, this medium-bodied masterpiece offers a perfect balance of complexity and accessibility that will delight both seasoned aficionados and newcomers to premium cigars.

This is a great quick smoke. I feel that these are under the radar. You don’t hear much about them, but in my opinion, they’re fantastic. Medium body with lots of flavor- cedar, mild spice, nuts. Constructed well with a nice draw. This is a stick that would appeal to both new and seasoned smokers.

I saw some reviews online before, and the reviews were half good and half bad. Until I bought it this time, I can say with certainty that this is a good cigar, especially the small size. It won’t waste too much of your time, but it feels very good!

Very good construction as you would expect from the Fuente group. Plenty of smoke, an easy draw and no re-lights or touch ups needed. The profile had a bit of cedar and a little pepper over a mildly woody base. Some spices and a bit of cream on the finish. No transitions during the smoke but a very good cigar that not withstanding. Surprising you don’t hear more about this cigar.

A little more body than Hemingway and Don Carlos yet not as much as the Anejo. This Fuente is the sweet spot for me in terms of body and strength. Absolutely great.

This is one of those sticks that kind of flies under the radar and I’m not sure why. It’s a great smoke. Baking spices, cherry like sweetness, creamy and smooth. I hadn’t smoked one of these in years and just got reminded of how solid of a smoke this is. I’ll be ordering more and you should too.

The Divine Inspiration is my favorite size of the this blend with the Doble Dos and Doble Tres following close behind. I haven’t tried all the sizes yet but so far the blend is a fantastic light-medium strength blend that has great flavors. If you’re looking for a more elegant blend or just need a break from powerhouses that hit you over the head, these Casa Cubas and Fuente Hemingways are a great choice

Great Fuente stick, and I feel like it doesn’t get talked about much compared to other fuente offerings (DC,RSG,Hemingway series). The DI vitola is amazing..

This cigar is as great of a consistent cigar as you can get. It isn’t particularly extraordinary in my opinion, but it is NEVER anything less than good. If you want a stick to keep in the humidor as a go-to when in doubt, this is the one. It pleases anyone from a first-time smoker to a veteran. Definitely worth having in any smoker’s collection.

This is a good solid smoke. To be honest, I don’t really think it taste like any current cubans. I know many of those hommage cigars try to capture the pre revolution cuban taste. However I have never tried one so I can’t compare, but to the current Habanos portfolio, this really isn’t anything like. Don’t get me wrong this is still a very good smoke, but not a replacement cuban for Cuban lovers.

I’ve now tried a few different vitolas from this line. The divine inspiration is on a different level for me. It is absolutely a cuban profile. Divine inspiration is slightly lighter, sweeter, and has more of a floral/lemongrass note. Brilliant.
The remainder of the line is largely similar and not quite as good for me. The profile is primarily dry woody notes. enjoyable, but not worth seeking out. DI however, buy ’em if you see ’em.

This definitely gave me that Cubanesque feel, with the consistency and quality of Fuente. The cigar was rolled well, burned well, and gave more of a power punch than the typical Fuente. I also love the traditional Cuban size.

Hands down my favorite Fuente cigar. Love the size, construction, burn, and flavor profile. Unfortunately boxes are hard to come by so grab one when you see them.

An underappreciated Fuente and Carlos Sr’s last blend. This refined medium bodied cigar smokes well above its price point, and particularly shines in the smaller ring gauges.

I’ve had every regular production Casa Cuba, save for the Doble Dos, and the Doble Tres is by far my favorite. It gives a wonderful cherry flavor that is reminiscent of cuban Romeo y Julietas. The Divine Inspiration is wonderful too, but it has more of that grassy flavor than the cherry. They’re both really well made, exceptionally blended cigars that are a value at the price point. I have yet to try the Doble Dos, but I hear it’s great as well. Do yourself a favor and pick some of these skinny beauties up.

I enjoy most Fuente products . When I heard the backstory to these I had to try. The doble Cinco was my favorite until I tried the doble dos lonsdales I ordered. I prefer smaller ring gauge sticks and the flavor really pops out of the smaller ring gauge. Definitely a favorite of mine.

Bakers spice and sweetness. One of my favorites from Fuente that seems to be little known.

A good cigar with Cuban characteristics. Medium body with cream, earth, and just a tad of spice. No transitions, but if you’re looking for something to itch the Cuban flavors without the twang, this is a good stick.

This is a good cigar (I ordered 5 doble cuatro vitola) but it fell short compare to other Fuente blends such as the rosado gran reserva or Don Carlos,in terms of flavours and complexity. I’m not sure if it’s the matter of different vitolas.

Arturo Fuente Casa Cuba – Single – Doble Cinco, Overall construction was good and the slightly less than medium strength was well balanced with the flavors. it has a mild berry-like sweetness on the finish.

Another Fuente under-rated (secret) meduim cigar. It is a typical Fuente meaning beautiful in appearance and expertly rolled. 10 mins into the cigar the flavor reveals a woodsy gentle emergence of cedar, earth, and a hint of apple spice or a touch of cinnamon on the retrohale. Damn enjoyable in which the richness does not wane. A great cigar and I understand why Cigar Aficionado rated it 93.
