Named in honor of the famous cigar-smoking American novelist, these uniquely shaped figurados by Carlos Fuente have become some of the most sought-after smokes in the world. Whenever I come across these Hemingway Maduros in any size, I tend to grab what I can. Another fuente that ages nicely but can be smoked ROTT. I have a soft spot for the entire Hemingway line, they were the first cigars that really got me hooked into the hobby. The short story in all wrappers are staples in my humidor

I personally prefer the Cameroon wrapper version of the Hemingway as oppose to the Maduro. This is a solid performing cigar but it is no Arturo Fuente Anejo. The first third is brillant but starting from the 2/3 the flavor profile becomes predictable and boring. Still is a great stick for its price!

Both the Natural and Maduro are outstanding 35-45 mins smokes. The Maduro is $2 more expensive and sweeter. I love the rustic, oily dark USA Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper. Both the Natural and Maduro have notes of sweetness, vanilla and hints of spice but the Maduro is more sweet and less spice. Prefer the Maduro more over the Natural Short Story.

Full and satisfying, great construction and deep flavours, would have to buy more and try the Cameroon ones!

I’m a fan of the Cameroon wrapped Hemingway, but the Conneticut Broadleaf takes this blend to a whole other level for me. Sweet and potent flavors, these are boxworthy all day.
