This one is right up there with the royal salute. A little sweeter, a little more cedar to it. I like the size better, because it is still a pretty one note cigar and I just get bored after a while. I love most Opus, all Anejos, and the cascades Cuba and casa Fuente stuff is usually good, but the ore lines leave me a bit underwhelmed.

Every fuente Sun Grown that I’ve smoked I’ve loved…. That includes this. It has that spice element that I love and it provides tons of flavor. I get cedar, raisins and wheat toast. I get white pepper but I don’t feel that it was overpowering. It smoked really well, which is expected from AF. The tobacco in this is delicious and reaffirms my belief that their SG offerings are among some of their best. Really awesome price for this great cigar!

This stick starts off with a kick of pepper but starts to mellow out about an inch in. I’m not a fan of too much pepper or spice in my cigars so I appreciated that the stick mellowed out the more I smoked it. Flavors of cedar, leather, cinnamon and a hint of fruit. Construction and draw were as expected from a Fuente stick.

Arturo Fuente is one of my favourite cigar brands out there. I love most of their offerings but this sungrown is not for me. It is extremely favourful but too spicy for my liking.
