With only 2,500 boxes handcrafted, this rare offering honors both musical legacy and the pursuit of exceptional flavor.
- Ultra-limited release – Only 2,500 boxes nationwide, each containing 15 toros (6 1/2 x 50)
- Musical inspiration – Blends AVO’s jazz roots with hip-hop energy, captured in packaging resembling a DJ turntable
- Exquisite blend – Features an Ecuadoran wrapper, Mexican San Andrés binder, and Dominican and Pennsylvanian fillers (including Bourbon barrel-aged hybrid leaf)
- Multi-layered flavor – Starts with sweet cream and cedar, crescendos into coffee, spice, caramel, buttercream, vanilla, cinnamon, and finished roasted coffee notes
- Smooth, medium body – Designed for complexity and approachability, with a creamy texture and sweet finish
The 2024 Expressions lights up with an initial medley of cream and cedar, evolving through layers of caramel, cinnamon, vanilla, and roasted coffee, while a persistent creamy sweetness lingers on the palate. A pigtail cap provides a stylish touch, though reviewers note it is decorative with another cap underneath. Construction and burn are generally described as flawless—once cut for a proper draw.
Reviews are mixed but insightful. Some aficionados praise its smooth, sweet, and creamy smoke, highlighted by expressive caramel and spice, making it a “box-worthy” buy for fans of unique limited editions. Others find the blend less engaging or complex, describing flavors as steady and mild throughout with little transition, or critiquing its value versus regular AVO offerings (such as the XO line). An occasional note of bitters or blandness appears, though this seems subjective to personal preference and palate.

This is an average cigar, period. It would be a 3 star if it was half the price. I am an AVO fan and I have enjoy the previous improvisation limited edition cigars, but I have to say this is a horrible limited edition offering from AVO. The taste is just….blant. There is nothing to keep you engaging. Save yourself the money and buy the AVO XO instead. It is miles better than this one.

So this cigar had me excited. The blend was something I thought I would surely enjoy, and I had heard a couple of others say they enjoyed it. So today I decided to pull one out and light it up! Upon first inspection, the cigar looks really well constructed with an impeccable looking wrapper. The cap is constructed with a pigtail, which I love seeing so long as it’s done well And that’s where my enthusiasm ended.
The pigtail was extremely long, longer than I typically find on cigars. When I twisted the pigtail off, I quickly came to realize that it was only there for decoration as there was more tobacco underneath. I’m not sure why anyone would put a cap underneath a pigtail cap, it defeats the whole purpose. Regardless, I grabbed my guillotine cutter and clipped the remainder of the cap off. The draw was immaculate after that.
On the light, I’m met with a light cream and cinnamon note. These notes stay throughout the entire cigar, not really getting any better or stronger. If I smoked this blend, I’d think it was a no frills, cheap Connecticut blend like all the others. It really reminded me of a $2 Ave Maria or similar cheap YardGar you can get through other sites. The Cigar at least burned well, but the flavors just didn’t do it for me.
By the end, I started getting a bitter brussels sprouts note on top of the boring Connecticut flavors. I’ve had some pretty bland and boring cigars, but this one takes the cake for most expensive dud. The cons (Bland, bitter in the end, decorative pigtail cap) far outweigh the pros (Good draw and burn).

Always been a fan of what Avo puts out. I typically prefer corona or robusto vitolas but I heard really good reviews about this LE so I jumped on a box buy and a 5pk. Glad I did! Caramel, cinnamon, vanilla and a hint of pepper. A ton of sweetness from this one. Smooth and creamy smoke coats the palette and the sweetness lingers after every puff.
