Thoroughly enjoyed this one. I’m a fan of box pressed cigars and Conn Broadleaf so I was excited to try this one. Dark chocolate, coffee, spice and almost a dried fruit flavor. I can see this one getting better with age. Glad I grabbed a box!

I’ve had many offerings from this company but I believe this is the first Connecticut broadleaf I’ve seen them release. This stick has a mottled dark brown wrapper which is surprisingly smooth to touch. Beautiful box press which feels firm. Draw is perfect with great smoke production.
Initially this cigar starts with somewhat muted flavors that quickly develop into a chocolate and coffee note after a few puffs. It has that gritty mouth feel you expect from Connecticut broadleaf wrappers. There is a nice finish that leaves a citrus and berry flavor on the palate. Medium pepper on the retro. A tear forms at the end of the wrapper which burns without any correction.
The coffee notes continue and a fleeting chalky flavor kicks up as the stick gets the the 2nd third. Fruity finish seems to come and go as the stick burns. Firm ash and razor sharp burn line thus far. Flavors amplify at the end of the second third and the burn line becomes wavy. Quite satisfied with my blind box purchase by this point of the smoke.
The final third transitions to a very sweet finish with that continued berry and citrus note. Mouth watering finish that I look forward to experiencing again. Snag some of these before they’re all gone.

This is a full body Broadleaf cigar that hits average for me on the flavor. I find there are other Broadleaf that really capture the essence of the beauty of Broadleaf wrappers. Gave this blend 4-5 years of age and I am sure they will turn around to be right bangers.

Really flavorful and unique. This had a flavor that reminded me of Merlot. It had that tannin aspect and a lot of dark fruit jam flavor, blackberries or blueberries. It was strong but in a nice compact size. I like that, it leaves you satisfied. Great burn, great draw. For a little cigar I got almost an hour out of it.
