First Blackbird I’ve smoked. Used a shallow V-cut and the draw was phenomenal. Almost drew like it was under packed but it was in fact rolled to perfection and smoked as it should. The burn line waivered slightly throughout the smoke but always corrected itself and didn’t require any touch-ups. The first third started quite mild, hints of cedar and coffee with a very subtle sweetness on the retro. By the second third I started picking up a bit of chocolate mixed in and the flavor began to ramp up. The smoke was very smooth and rich and coated the palate very well. The final third the flavor really ramped up. The coffee takes a bit of a back seat to the cedar and now dark chocolate. The smoke is so rich you feel like you could almost chew it. There is also a very nice sweetness to it as it approaches the nub. Highly recommend giving this smoke a shot, very excited to try out the rest of Blackbirds blends.
