Oscar Valladares Cigars

Oscar Valladares Tobacco & Co. is a Honduran boutique cigar company founded in 2012 by Oscar Valladares, his brother Hector Valladares, and industry veteran Bayron Duarte in Danlí, Honduras, bringing together over 30 years of combined tobacco experience. Oscar himself spent nine years working for Rocky Patel—where he became Rocky’s top distributor across all of Latin America—before launching his own brand and factory, which now operates out of the former Oliva Cigar Co. facility in Danlí with over 100 skilled employees. The company sources premium tobaccos from Honduras, Nicaragua, the Dominican Republic, and Ecuador, with Oscar pioneering the cultivation of tobacco in the ancient Mayan region of Copán, Honduras, where the thicker, unique leaf undergoes a specialized fermentation process. The celebrated lineup includes the iconic Leaf by Oscar—available in Connecticut, Sumatra, Maduro, and Corojo wrappers, each cigar distinctively packaged in a raw tobacco leaf rather than cellophane; The Oscar featuring an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper over Honduran binder and Honduran and Nicaraguan fillers; the Oscar Habano blending Honduran and Nicaraguan tobaccos under an Ecuadorian Cuban-seed wrapper; the Super Fly Maduro in a bold Mexican San Andrés Maduro wrapper with Dominican, Honduran, and Nicaraguan fillers; the Altar Q paying homage to the Mayan ruins of Copán; and the 2012 commemorating the company’s founding year. Flavor profiles across the portfolio range from medium to full body with rich notes of earth, leather, cedar, pepper, chocolate, and natural sweetness, making Oscar Valladares a standout boutique brand celebrated for innovative packaging, Honduran craftsmanship, and exceptional value.
