Ventura Cigar Company is the premium cigar division of Kretek International Group, Inc., founded in 2011 in Moorpark, California, by the Cassar family—led by Dr. Mark Cassar—who partnered with legendary cigarmaker Nestor Plasencia Sr. to create the brand’s first two blends, Pura Sangre and Estilo Cubano, and later brought on acclaimed creative director Michael Giannini to develop the company’s groundbreaking portfolio. Rather than operating a single factory, Ventura collaborates with some of the most prestigious manufacturers in the world, including Drew Estate, Davidoff, La Aurora, Oliva Cigar Co., Quesada Cigars, E.P. Carrillo, and Joya de Nicaragua, sourcing production from Honduras, Nicaragua, and the Dominican Republic.
