Good flavors and strength. I must have been unlucky and got one with not the greatest construction. But im going to give it another try.

Excellent, nice flavour burn and construction. Medium plus strength and body. A great cigar to have any time of the day. Definitely box worthy. Highly recommend.

Managed to sample one of these that a friend donated to me (knowing my love of Caldwell); a stunner. Very different from the rest of their portfolio, as perhaps expected due to the Cameroon wrapper – you get that exotic spice and sweetness but the impressive thing is that it persists for the length of the cigar rather than being subsumed by the filler tobacco. This is a balanced smoke; richer accents of coffee and a bit grapefruit-like acidity do come in to accent the rich cameroon flavours. I admit my bias, but this cigar is getting great reviews from most everyone, and I feel it deserves it.

I’ve been a huge fan of Caldwell, and pretty much everything else that comes from William Ventura’s factories for a long time now so when I saw a new entry in the King/Queen series I knew I had to snag one up, I knew I was going to like it, it ticks all my boxes, box pressed, cameroon… and this is in my opinion one of the best cigars they’ve ever made, so nice in fact, I got a box and will get one again. 🙂

What a lovely cigar that oozes oil in an aged bronze hue, with a beautiful portrait of a woman on the band. Flavors include graham cracker, creaminess, black pepper, espresso, chocolate, cedar, citrus and dried fruit. Complexity, draw, construction, and burn are impressive. The blend is savory with natural sweetness here and there. Hazelnuts and black walnuts appear, and strength is medium/full. A peanut butter taste develops towards the end and the Box Pressed Toro size is recommended.

I smoked the sword vitola(lancero) as I’m a huge fan of those. This cigar was delicious. The Cameroon wrapper gave it that spiced earth with cedar notes and some light pepper. Almost get like a honey teddy graham note from it from time to time. I let it rest about 3-4 days before I lit it up and had no burn issues. Construction was solid on this. Caldwell as a whole does a nice job with their lanceros and this was excellent. Great new addition to Caldwell line.

This is hands down the best cigar I’ve had from Caldwell, and I’m a big fan of a lot of their blends. The Last Tsar, LLTK and TKID in all their variations, Eastern Standard Sungrown, and Blind Man’s Bluff Connecticut are all staples in my humidor. This new Cameroon beauty bests them all. Wonderful vanilla and coffee flavors, loads of Cameroon sweetness, balanced with the spice of the Sumatran binder and the earthiness of the Dominican in the filler. It’s a mild to medium cigar so if youre a leather tongue I’d skip this one, but if you are a fan of Cameroon I think you will absolutely love this. The First one I smoked actually popped on me pretty bad right down to the band. I smoked it right of the truck and I’m up in Wisconsin, so thats mostly my fault for being impatient. Still the cigar was so tasty and drew so well I smoked it right down to the finger burning point. Absolutely phenomenal stuff. Looking forward to trying the rest of the vitolas.
