Caldwell Mooncake Limited Edition

Caldwell Mooncake is a limited Connecticut-wrapped interpretation of the cult-favorite Yellow Cake blend. Offered in a 5 x 50 Robusto and packaged in five packs, Mooncake takes the familiar Yellow Cake concept in a softer, creamier direction, built for cool autumn afternoons and relaxed evening smoking.

• Limited Connecticut-wrapped version of Caldwell Yellow Cake.
• Single Robusto format measures 5 x 50.
• Connecticut seed wrapper gives the blend a softer, creamier profile.
• Built around the character of Caldwell Yellow Cake with a lighter expression.
• Packaged in five packs for an easy way to experience the seasonal release.
• Limited to 40 trays and 2,400 five packs.
• Introduces an unreleased wrapper variation to the Yellow Cake story.

Yellow Cake first appeared in 2014 as a Caldwell event-only cigar and quickly developed a loyal following among smokers who enjoyed its approachable, often unpredictable character. The line later returned as a limited release in Habano and Maduro versions, each tied to the changing availability of tobacco. Mooncake adds a new chapter to that story with a Connecticut seed wrapper and a profile designed to feel smoother, creamier, and more relaxed.

Mooncake is not simply a repackaged Yellow Cake. The Connecticut wrapper changes the first impression of the cigar, shifting the experience toward cream, cedar, soft sweetness, and a gentler pepper note. Caldwell has not disclosed the binder, filler composition, or factory for Mooncake, making the wrapper the defining technical detail behind this limited release.

The 5 x 50 Robusto is a classic format for a cigar that is intended to be easygoing and direct. It gives the Connecticut wrapper a prominent role while offering enough filler depth to maintain the familiar Yellow Cake character beneath it. Expect a light golden brown to pale cinnamon brown wrapper with a smooth texture, fine veins, and a firm, evenly packed body.

The first third should open with cream, cedar, toasted bread, and a soft white pepper note. Through the middle, natural sweetness, cashews, creamy oak, leather, and a light coffee note add depth without moving the profile away from its mellow direction. The final third remains smooth and balanced, finishing with cedar, cream, gentle spice, and a faint sweetness that makes Mooncake a natural fit for an unhurried smoke.
