Casdagli Cabinet Selection Rosetta
Discover the refined character of the Casdagli Cabinet Selection Rosetta, a petit robusto cigar crafted for those who appreciate complexity and elegance in a compact format. Handmade at the Kelner Boutique Factory in the Dominican Republic, this cigar is designed to pair perfectly with coffee and offers a luxurious experience inspired by the tradition of bespoke cigars enjoyed by European aristocracy.
The Rosetta features a 4 x 46 vitola and is wrapped in a distinctive Dominican Cotui wrapper, grown exclusively for Casdagli by Monika Kelner. Inside, an aged Dominican Bonao binder—notably up to 11 years old—encloses a blend of select Dominican fillers. This combination delivers a mild-to-medium strength profile, with a creamy texture and nuanced flavors.
Upon lighting, expect notes of milk chocolate, cream, vanilla, pepper, and smoked wood, with a delicate sweetness and floral undertones. The construction ensures an even burn and a smooth draw, making it ideal as a morning smoke or a refined companion to premium coffee.
The Cabinet Selection line pays homage to the classic era of cigars presented in elegant cedar boxes, continuing a legacy of craftsmanship and sophistication. The Rosetta stands out for its balanced flavors, artisanal construction, and its place as the original release in the celebrated Cabinet Selection series.

If you’re a fan of the Davidoff Signature or Grand Cru, this is a cigar you will enjoy; plenty of medium-roast coffee and nuts, a bit of cream, and minimal-to-no spicy-ness at all (zero ‘pepper’). This is a cigar best smoked on a clean palate with a milk coffee of some type (I’d suggest a decent cappuccino). This is not a cigar for someone looking for a ‘kick’, nor for someone who wants something with a super complex range of flavours. This is basically a European breakfast cigar, both in size and flavour, and if that’s what you’re in the mood for, then this is just as good as similar-styled offerings from Davidoff, but at a much better price point. One star deducted only because while very good, there’s nothing fundamentally ‘unique’ here.
