The Casdagli Club Mareva Gran Mareva delivered a pleasant, well-balanced smoke with notes of cedar, honey, and subtle spice early on. As it developed, I picked up hints of chocolate and coffee. Construction was spot-on, but while I appreciated the complexity, it didn’t quite crack my favorites list.

Starts off with pepper (which fades), spices and light wood as the base profile with vanilla and yeast bread on the retrohale. Very enjoyable smoke and for the first two thirds I was ready to give it 5 stars. In the last third, however, the wood/oak became dominant and the cigar lost a lot of its complexity so I deducted a star. Overall, the burn was very good with lots of smoke and a flavorful profile with good complexity. A very enjoyable experience.

Firstly, I love me a pig tail and size of this cigar (5.5×42). This cigar offers a creamy honey flavor accompanied by a fragrant and sweet aroma. Not a great smoke but a good cigar that you will enjoy.

Not the best from Casdagli but don’t get me wrong, Casdagli is one of the best boutique brands right now in the market and everything from Kelner Boutique Factory will have excellent construction, but compared with the other stuff from R. Dominicana (Basilica and Traditional Line ) this is my least favorite.

This is the least favorite of mine when it comes to this Casadagli Club line, and it’s still very very good. I’m stoked that Kelner has moved in from Davidoff to start making different (and more affordable!) stuff. There is a little more bitterness to this blend but there’s a savory factor that mingles well. Great size, great construction.
