Initially light oak with some pepper on the retrohale. Pepper fades and is replaced by occasional nougat. Also earthiness and a little leather which become more intense in the last one third. Burn was good with decent smoke production and no re-lights or touch ups needed. Good value for the price.

I’ve worked through a few of this line. This one I found to be pretty enjoyable. Got dark roast coffee, leather and some earthy mineral flavors as well. The draw was a tad tight but nothing too annoying. Smoke output decent and only had to touch up once. Feel like these are a pretty solid value given the price and the good flavors that I was getting. Feel like this smoked a few dollars higher than its listed price. Would smoke again.

The 5×50 Falto Terruño “Hermanos” Robusto is a great smoke. This cigar is a part of their Terruño series, which showcases the unique flavors and characteristics of tobacco grown in different regions of the Dominican Republic. The geographer in me geeked out a little because they’re trying to showcase different tobaccos from different regions. Like the terroir of coffee or wine, tobacco can vary greatly depending on geography and climate.
The cigar is well-constructed, with a smooth, dark wrapper that has a nice oily sheen. The draw is perfect, with just the right amount of resistance, and the burn is even throughout the smoke. The smoke production is moderate, and the aroma is pleasant, with notes of cedar, leather, and spice on the first light.
The second third offered flavors including a mix of earthy, woody notes, with hints of black pepper and coffee. As the smoke progresses, the flavors become richer and more pronounced, with notes of dark chocolate, dried fruit, and leather. The finish is long and satisfying, with a subtle sweetness that lingers on the palate.
Overall, the Falto Terruño “Hermanos” Robusto is an excellent cigar that showcases the quality and craftsmanship of Falto Cigars. The flavors are complex and well-balanced, and the construction is top-notch. This is a cigar that is sure to please both novice and experienced cigar smokers alike, and is well worth seeking out.
