La Aroma de Cuba Pasión
La Aroma de Cuba Pasión is an award-winning, medium to full-bodied Nicaraguan puro crafted by Pepin and Jaime Garcia at My Father Cigars. All tobaccos—including a luxurious shade-grown wrapper—are grown on the Garcias’ family estates in Estelí, Jalapa, and Namanji, Nicaragua. The Namanji shade-grown wrapper imparts a singular character, cultivated in a microclimate prized for its warm days, cool nights, and mineral-rich black soils.
Lighting up the Pasión, expect pronounced notes of smoked cashew, leather, cedar, and molasses layered over a complex tapestry of sweet baking spices, nougat, earth, coffee, and hints of honey, chocolate, and citrus. The core showcases an extravagant yet balanced spice profile, enhanced by occasional flashes of creaminess, peanut butter, and fruit. The finish is persistently long, clean, and satisfying, oscillating between peppery intensity, gentle sweetness, wood, and an undercurrent of earthy minerals.
Construction is superb—the draw is effortless, with a satisfying burn and consistent flavor progression. Its medium-full body pairs perfectly with coffee, aged rum, or bourbon, equally suiting celebratory moments or contemplative relaxation.

Good smoke! I like most of Pepins stuff, and now I can add this one to the list. It’s got plenty of spice, Karo syrup sweetness, wood, leather, and cracked wheat. Smoked really well too, tons of smoke output.
