Detailed Description
Matilde Limited Exposure No. 2 is a celebration of Dominican craftsmanship and creative blending. The nuanced blend begins with a milk-chocolate brown Ecuadorian Corojo wrapper that delivers distinct, lively spiciness. Dominican binder and a carefully selected filler mix create a balanced core, evolving through waves of baking spice, licorice, roasted coffee, caramel, and dark chocolate—accented by subtle floral and leather undertones throughout the smoke.
The profile offers an engaging retrohale with raisin, peanut brittle, and cayenne. Each draw transitions smoothly: cream and wood intermingle with spice, cocoa, and notes of Nutella. The experience is consistently medium-bodied and beautifully constructed, with a slow, even burn, creamy finish, and satisfying ash. Boxed in 20s, the No. 2 is a perfect pairing for an evening unwind or celebratory occasion, and its approachable strength invites both seasoned aficionados and newer enthusiasts.

Compared to the No. 1, I found the Matilde Limited Exposure No. 2 to be a more flavorful and enjoyable smoke. The No. 2 offered a creamy medium-bodied profile with hints of spice and leather, delivering a richer experience than the earthier No. 1. The construction remained excellent, with a consistent burn and ample smoke production. This cigar is a great choice for those seeking a balanced yet flavorful medium-bodied smoke.

I enjoyed this cigar very much . First of all this lonsdale is right in my wheelhouse for favorite vitola to smoke. From this I get nice earthiness, slight spice and leather. Construction is good but draw was a tad tight for me but that’s a personal preference thing. The flavors were solid on this and I would absolutely smoke this again. This gave me about 1hr and 32 minutes on smoking time. The price on these are insanely good. Love that oxford has these to try!

I’m still exploring this brand but have enjoyed a few offerings from Matilde in the past.
The limited exposure no. 2 has a milk chocolate brown wrapper with subtle grit to touch. This Lonsdale size has a nice draw that delivers a solid amount of smoke with each draw.
It takes a few puffs before the true flavors settle in. Tobacco, light leather, and white pepper on the retro. The finish has a slightly sweet and sour note that quickly fades. Burn remains razor sharp throughout the smoke. The finish transitions to a creamy cedar that is quite enjoyable. These are solid for the price point, I’d recommend a fiver at the very least.

The corojo wrapper turned out to be too spicy for my tastebuds. I could only keep going with constant slip of cola. The flavor profile is definitely engaging but the overall body is a bit too much for me to handle.

I enjoyed the Matilde Limited Exposure No. 2 cigar in the lonsdale size. The cigar features a combination of an Ecuadorian medium brown corojo wrapper with its binder and filler tobaccos from the Dominican Republic. The dominant flavors throughout the smoke were baking spices, light roast coffee, cocoa, and hints of Nutella.
The flavor profile is medium plus, but are perfectly balanced, with no one flavor overpowering the others. The strength of the cigar starts out strong and ends lighter, resulting in a solid medium strength cigar.
The burn is smooth and even, with a nice ash that holds on for a good amount of time. The construction is top-notch, with no soft spots or imperfections in the wrapper.
Overall, the Matilde Limited Exposure No. 2 cigar in the lonsdale size is a must-try for anyone looking for a high-quality smoke with complex and well-balanced flavors. It’s a perfect choice for a relaxing evening or a celebratory occasion.

The ignition turned out to be a very heavy pepper, and the graininess was obvious. After a few bites, the cream and woody aroma come in, and there is a lot of Minican style here. The front side is very rich – floral, fruity, a little cocoa and earthy, and the aroma is amazing. Apart from a slightly jerky aftertaste, there are basically no drawbacks. I thought the beginning was the peak, but I didn’t expect the middle section to be more prosperous: the pepper stimulation completely subsided, and the jerky taste became a very comfortable return. Other flavors don’t change much, with a bit of spices, more nutty chocolate and a little roasted cereal. Irritation and astringency disappear, making the original taste pure and beautiful. The tail section continues the original taste, the chocolate becomes heavier, some tar comes out, the taste becomes bitter but the aroma remains good. The strength of the whole eggplant is okay, it should be noted that the overall sweetness is low.

Nice distinct corojo flavor. Spicy but not overpowering. I will smoke this again.
