Flavor Composition
The No. 6 Maduro opens with dark chocolate and espresso notes that immediately announce the blend’s bold character. As the cigar develops, roasted coffee deepens the profile while earthy spices add dimension and complexity. The middle section introduces molasses and brown sugar sweetness that balances the darker flavors, creating harmony between power and refinement. Throughout the smoke, creamy texture enhances mouthfeel, making each draw smooth and luxurious despite the full-bodied strength.
The five-year aging process transforms these Nicaraguan tobaccos into a seamless expression of maduro excellence. Unlike younger cigars that can present sharp edges, the No. 6 Maduro delivers polished intensity where every flavor component integrates perfectly. The Nicaraguan Maduro wrapper contributes both visual appeal and concentrated taste, with its dark, oily appearance translating into rich aromatics on both the palate and retrohale.
Box-Pressed Excellence
The box-press format enhances the No. 6 Maduro experience through multiple dimensions. The squared profile provides comfortable hold and prevents rolling when set down, adding practical benefits to the aesthetic appeal. Box-pressing also creates more surface area contact with flame during lighting, promoting even burn and consistent ash formation. Many aficionados find that pressed cigars develop slightly more concentrated flavor profiles compared to round counterparts, as the compression affects airflow and smoke density in subtle but meaningful ways.
Compact Power
As the second-smallest vitola in the 1926 Anniversary line, the No. 6 Maduro proves that extraordinary smoking experiences don’t require extended time commitments. The 4 3/4 inch length provides 45-60 minute sessions perfect for lunch breaks, afternoon respites, or evening preludes to dinner. This compact format makes the cigar ideal for situations where full 1926 character is desired without the hour-plus commitment that larger vitolas demand.

This smokes beautifully. Offering flavor of cocoa and earth. A subtle note of dried cherry that adds elegance to the smoke.

Every cigar Padron makes is exceptional. The 1926 series is phenomenal. Personally, I think two extra years of age makes this one of the best cigars of all time. The 1926 has slightly more punch than the 1964. This is my after dinner cigar if the 1964 is my mid-afternoon cigar. The 1926 and 1964 are a few of the only cigars I believe are actually worth their 15$+ price tag.

A truly exceptional cigar. Every puff is filled with rich, savory notes of cocoa, musty earth, and espresso. Definitely a teat and something both the occasional and seasoned smoker can enjoy.

Well I can’t decide if I like the No 9 or number 6 better but maybe I like them the same. Maybe it comes down to how much time you have to smoke but this one is great and a standard robusto size which is probably the best all around vitola ever if you don’t have all night to burn one. Excellent Padron.

One of my favorites of the 1926 series; excellent mouthfeel, rich and deep flavors of dark chocolate, baking spices, and earth. When only the best will do!

Solid cigar. Mild on the pepper and zing with a big mouth full of thick flavorful smoke. I really enjoyed this cigar. The only knock was that I expected more complexity like the other 1926 I have had. Other than that, great smoke.

It’s like a decadent chocolate cake with black pepper riding strong throughout. The 1926 Maduro is a go to when it’s time to celebrate. Amazing stuff.
