Flavor Experience
The Exclusivo Natural opens with cocoa and earthy barnyard notes that establish the blend’s rich Nicaraguan character immediately. As the cigar progresses, cedar spice emerges alongside leather, creating complexity that unfolds gradually rather than overwhelming the palate. The middle section introduces vanilla bean and hazelnut notes that add creamy sweetness, while subtle earth tones provide backbone throughout. The finish brings gentle sweetness balanced by lingering spice, creating a satisfying conclusion that exemplifies Padron’s signature refinement.
The four-year aging process manifests as remarkable smoothness without sacrificing flavor intensity. Each draw delivers concentrated taste that never becomes harsh or bitter, a testament to the careful fermentation and blending that defines the Anniversary series. The box-press format enhances the experience through even burn and consistent ash formation, while the generous 5 1/2 x 50 dimensions provide extended smoking time perfect for contemplative sessions or social occasions.
Construction Excellence
Padron’s reputation for flawless construction reaches its apex in the 1964 Anniversary line. The Exclusivo Natural features razor-sharp burn lines that require minimal attention, allowing smokers to focus on flavor rather than maintenance. The draw opens effortlessly, delivering generous smoke output with each puff. Ash formation remains solid and consistent, holding long sections before releasing cleanly. This construction reliability has become synonymous with the Padron name, making every cigar a dependable experience regardless of when or where it’s enjoyed.
The 1964 Anniversary Legacy
Jose Orlando Padron founded his company in 1964 after fleeing Cuba, rebuilding his family’s tobacco heritage in Nicaragua. The Anniversary series, launched three decades later, represents the culmination of that journey—cigars that honor tradition while pushing quality standards to new heights. The use of exclusively Nicaraguan sun-grown tobaccos, extensive aging, and meticulous quality control create cigars worthy of celebration, whether marking personal milestones or simply savoring life’s everyday moments.

As I smoke my way through Padrons line, I find this one to be a true classic. A box pressed 5.5×50 is such a manageable size and allows the flavours to fully develop. I find this cigar to progress throughout as opposed to many sharp transitions, no different than most padrons. The bold, cocoa, cedar spice flavours also aren’t much different from most Padrons, this is a good thing. It is just delivered in a perfect size, for me.

This is a crazy powerbomb! I don’t recall smoking another cigar with as much nicotine strength as to this one. Padrons definitely aren’t for the faint of heart. This cigar has so much character to it that it never gets boring. However the high nicotine strength does get me buzzing 1/3 of the way in. You have been warned!

I usually prefer maduro Padron as you’ve seen me say on previous reviews. However, these and the principe’s are a stick I reach for when I want something more nuanced and mild but still crave those Padron flavors. They smoke wonderfully on a rainy or humid day. Still has tons of flavor and body despite being mild compared to its maduro counterpart. Leather and a rich oily spice that keeps me coming back for more.

I completely agree. I have preferred the Maduro when smoking a Padron. The Principe and the Exclusivo are exceptionally in the Natural. I am starting to explore other Padron Natural blends to see if there is other Padrons that are amazing in the Natural.

Still one of my favorite cigars. The 1964 Exclusivo natural is one of my all time favorite cigars. I’ve always preferred the Padron naturals over the maduro. I will bounce between the 1926 and 1964 in different blends. Love the classic Padron box press with that more open draw. You really get those earthy, barnyard and hay flavors I get from these gems. Perfect burn on these every time. Great price on a great smoke.

Not quite at the level of the 1926 Natural, but a fantastic cigar, at a more reasonable price. Quality construction, even burn, with a lush mouthfeel; notes of vanilla bean, hazelnut, and earth.

I prefer the 26 line to the 64, but still this is a fantastic cigar. Perfect Pdaron construction, and an unbelievable price on Oxford.

Oh wow. What a phenomenal smoke. General speaking, I have always preferred Padron in the Maduro. Oxford has a Padron Sampler and I took the opportunity to grab several of the smaller Padron sizes in both Natural and Maduro. In smoking both the Maduro and Natural in the Exclusivo sizes, the Maduro was great but the Natural was better. The Natural had an intense coffee note on it along with the usual Padron 1964 flavor notes. This cigar is a strong recommend and box worthy. As soon as I see a box available on Oxford – I am buying it!!!
