A Modern Classic with Depth and Character
The Patina Habano Oxidation is a standout in the Patina lineup, expertly marrying boldness and refinement in a Toro Gordo (6 x 56) vitola. Made in Nicaragua at the prestigious NACSA factory, this cigar is designed for those who appreciate rich complexity and a medium-to-full-bodied profile. Presented in elegant boxes of 16, the Oxidation reflects Patina’s dedication to boutique craftsmanship and unique cigar experiences.
Cloaked in a glistening Ecuadorian Habano wrapper, the Oxidation features a Nicaraguan binder and a thoughtful blend of Nicaraguan and Pennsylvania fillers. This combination produces a nuanced, layered smoking journey that elevates it above many other Habanos in its class. The presentation and blend take inspiration from the natural process of oxidation—just as time and the elements transform copper and bronze, the tobacco undergoes a careful aging process to unlock its fullest character.
Vibrant, Balanced, and Satisfyingly Complex
Lighting up the Patina Habano Oxidation reveals a lively palette of flavors. Expect an inviting wave of gentle spice, followed by a core of roasted nuts, milk chocolate, and smooth cedar. Undertones of espresso, malt, and dried fruit emerge, adding depth to the experience, while a touch of earthy richness anchors the blend. As the cigar develops, subtle sweetness and hints of citrus and floral notes appear, balanced by savory wood and a creamy finish. Construction is top-notch, with an even burn and full, aromatic smoke that speaks to the cigar’s premium origins.

This cigar packs a punch. It’s full-bodied compared to the Connecticut, with a rich, spicy flavor. I wouldn’t say it’s overwhelming, though. There’s a nice smoothness that evens things out. Definitely for those who like a bolder smoke. Really impressed!
