Frequently Asked Questions
How does Alma del Campo’s profile compare within the Alma series?
It’s the most classically balanced—smoother and creamier than the bolder Alma Fuerte and less fiery than Alma del Fuego, with more rounded sweetness than the high-altitude brightness of Alma del Cielo.
What flavors should I expect as the cigar develops?
Opening notes of toasted nuts, biscuit, and cedar deepen into honeyed cream, soft cocoa, and gentle baking spice, with a clean, slightly mineral finish.
Is Alma del Campo a good choice for medium-bodied smokers?
Yes. Its medium body and refined texture make it ideal for those who prefer nuance and balance over sheer strength.
Which vitola should I pick?
Smaller formats amplify spice and sweetness; larger sizes emphasize cream, wood, and gradual complexity. Choose based on desired smoke time and intensity.
Does it pair well with beverages?
Light roast coffee, cappuccino, bourbon with a honeyed profile, or Speyside-style single malt complement its creamy, cedar-forward character.
How is the construction and burn?
Excellent. Expect an easy draw, steady burn line, resilient ash, and minimal touch-ups when properly stored and lit.
Should I age Alma del Campo?
It smokes beautifully out of the box, but 6–12 months of rest further integrates sweetness and softens spice, enhancing harmony.
Any storage tips?
Maintain 65–69% RH at 65–70°F. Allow newly shipped boxes to rest 2–4 weeks before smoking for best expression.

These are the best. Absolutely “quintessential”. It’s got everything you need, and nothing you don’t. This is exactly what I want a cigar to taste like. Smokes great from beginning to end, with no unpleasantness at all during any part of the experience.

I try not to hand out five star reviews because it implies to me that a cigar is ‘perfect’, which no cigar is (no matter how much we love one). This is getting five stars because I firmly believe that Plasencia provides the best quality tobacco for the best possible price of any ‘major’ brand out there – their cigars are complex yet approachable, which is a rare feat.
To me, this cigar tastes like breakfast – coffee, sourdough bread, and a bit of fruit-like acidity and sweetness. It is not a hyper-complex cigar, but it has more going on that most, the flavours are very distinct and not ones you have to ‘work at’ to notice, the cigar itself is sold at a very good price, with superior construction and presentation. Honestly, Plasencia is a company that more people should be actively seeking out.

Excellent cigars to say the least! The only reason I gave it a 4/5 is because it is in my humble opinion not as good as the Alma del fuego, which is a solid 5/5 in my books. This is still a very very good cigar by itself. There is less sweetness compared to the ADF. Perfect for the mornings!

These are my favourite offering from Plasencia. Medium to full body, syrupy sweetness and full of dark flavours such as chocolate and espresso. The first and second thirds and spectacular and the final third often exhibits charred nuts and dark coffee flavours taking it to a very bold level. Fantastic.

Another solid offering from Plasencia. Definitely worth the price in my opinion. Enjoyed the sweet, dark fruit flavors on this one. Picked up a few more, you should too!

Very creamy and complex. One of those cigars you can honestly say is worth the price point maybe even a bit more.

Belo Plasencia. Esse não é intenso igual o alma fuerte , então gosto de fumar com algo que equilibre seu sabor. Talvez um belo drink te deixe bem feliz com ele
