The plus side of the Macho Raton vs the normal line of El Gueguense is that it (Macho Raton) is a slow burner. You will enjoy that distinct sweetness that you get from the El Gueguense but will a lot more bold black pepper. I prefer the regular line from El Gueguense for its more intense sweetness but I certainly enjoyed this Macho Raton line.

Not my favorite. Could have been the size though. I have a corona gorda to try before I write off this blend. It’s nuts and wood as the primary notes for me. It had kind of a drying sensation and no sweetness at all. Take this review with a pinch of salt though as this is not a size i typically go for

I’m not a huge fan of the small pig vitola from other companies that have made them. But this one was recommended and so I gave it a shot. I’ve had the 5th Anniversary El Gueguense (wise man) from Foundation in a similar format but it has a lighter wrapper, more mild and not in my wheelhouse. But this Macho Raton is much bolder, oily and full of flavor. Cold draw pre-light offers lots of coffee and leather tones. Upon lighting up, there’s a ton of smoke. I did a shallow straight cut with a backstopped cutter. The first two thirds were similar, with the last third really amped up the baking spices of cinnamon and cloves on the palate. The ash was solid holding on for half the cigar. I’m writing this with the intention of buying more. One of those cigars you try, and wonder why they aren’t sold out! Get some!

Awesome! All the flavor of the regular corojo, but it burned for a good hour and 45.
