I reach for Connecticuts more than any other wrapper. This unfortunately fell a bit flat for me. It has those light flavors of hay and grass but not much more for me. There is an inherent bitterness in this. Not much for transitions in this stick and feels like the tobacco is young. The price was definitely right but this doesn’t scream Davidoff to me.

I’m not sure if this is long or med/short filler but it’s a solid budget smoke. I recently smoked an older “Davidoff” 3×3 tubo and these are much better. The 3×3 cigars require you to smoke ultra slowly, otherwise they get a bit harsh and unpleasant. These feel a lot more premium and don’t require any special focus or technique
The first 1/3 had almost zero pepper, just very smooth creamy notes with hints of cedar and sweet hay. Into the 2nd third some florally white pepper are present. Overall for me it’s ideal as a light morning smoke with some coffee on a fresh palate. I don’t think I’d smoke this later in the day or after having something bolder since a lot of the flavors are pretty delicate.
Construction wise, the draw was perfect with a punch and the burn was mostly razor sharp. Each time it got wavy or started to canoe, it would eventually catch up. The main negative was that two separate cracks/splits developed before I got to the halfway point. The wrappers are pretty thin so be careful!
4 out of 5 seems fitting since out of a 100 score, I’d probably throw this in the low 80s. Nothing wrong with it flavorwise as long as you are looking for something on the milder side

It’s bit off, not really up to par with the rest of the davidoffs out ther. Pretty mellow though out, not much transition in flavors.

There’s nothing about this that really makes me think of Davidoff except for a musty earthiness. Unlike in the finer Davidoff Connecticut it’s not balanced here, rather it’s offset by a pretty bitter component from the Connecticut. It’s still not a terrible cigar for the price, but I’d rather spend my money on better cigars. You get what you pay for here.
