The Brûlée Wagashi delivers a refined, almost ceremonial smoking experience: predominantly mild yet rich, featuring waves of toasted almond, cedar, hay, and creamy sweetness. Nutty, hay-like undertones and a subtle caramel finish evoke a sense of dessert delicacy—balanced for both experienced palates and those seeking a gentle introduction to Connecticut-shade cigars. The trunk-pressed format heightens the tactile experience while ensuring superb construction and an effortless, satisfying draw.
Reviewers enthusiastically praise Wagashi for its A+ construction, perfect burn, and easier draw compared to many mild cigars. The flavor is described as a milder, softer evolution of the Brûlée Blue, with an emphasis on almond, cream, hay, and cedar, and less overt sweetness. This blend is a treat intended for special occasions or contemplative moments—the kind of smoke created for “once in a blue moon” enjoyment and collecting.

This is not an everyday cigar, but a cigar for those once in a blue moon moments. The wagashi is quite different to the blue. I do prefer the blue more, both vitola and the taste. The wagashi isn’t anything worse, just different. Think blonde vs brunette. If you like an occasional mild smoke, the wagashi is close to the best you can buy!

I got the original release of these and they were absolutely fantastic. This one was on par with what I had originally. Big nuttiness to this. A toasted almond flavor with cedar and hay. Love the box press on this as it gives an incredible mouth feel. Love the band and this smokes incredibly well. Construction was an A+. Great draw and burn. This is a lot milder than the blue and I love everything about this. Another winner from DTT.
