The 10th Capa Especial is built on the original 10th Anniversary blend but replaces the Ecuador Habano wrapper with a beautiful, dark Ecuador Sumatra leaf. This results in a richer, sweeter, and more complex flavor journey. Smokers highlight notes of brown sugar, honey graham cracker, chocolate, earthy cocoa, cedar/oak, white pepper, toasted brownie, hazelnut, and sweet coffee—all delivered in a creamy, medium-to-full-bodied, smooth-smoking format. The Capa Especial is praised for its creamy sweetness, balanced spice, and elegant construction, making it a standout even among Tatuaje’s top-tier releases.
Beyond innovation, this release is an educational exploration of how a wrapper dramatically influences a cigar’s flavor and aroma—making it a must-smoke for fans of Tatuaje and explorers of premium tobacco.

This is a wonderful cigar. I was expecting more bite but this was very very smooth and rich. Full bodied, medium strength. Nutty, leathery, some white pepper and charred brownie goodness in there. Smoked like a dream too.

I was super excited to get my hands on these and I was not disappointed! These are so flavorful and delicious. The flavors from the Sumatra wrapper are incredible. Get those classic spiced earthy flavors, brown sugar sweetness from the wrapper and get an almost honey Graham cracker flavor as well. The construction is fantastic and I definitely will be getting more of these. Another winner from tatuaje and incredible price as always!

Medium plus body, earth, cocoa, cedar? Maybe oak? Regardless some nice wood ones/mustiness with enough sweetness to balance out the profile. I don’t gravitate towards darker wrappers but this one is delightful.

Another great blend from Tatuaje. Super smooth and full of flavor. More of a sweet, leathery profile compared to their typical pepper-forward profile which i liked for a change. Will be ordering more.

The middle part has a toasty flavor, and the tobacco flavor is also quite obvious. The intensity is not low, but the main line does not change much. The back part is slightly sweet, with a strong earthy feeling and a faint cinnamon aroma. The aftertaste is okay. After knocking off the ash, you can see that the rolling is also very good. In addition to the ordinary taste, it is surprisingly resistant to burning, with no obvious shortcomings.

Great smoke! Flavor profile was right in my wheelhouse. The slightest of white pepper that was barely noticeable and just a ton of sweetness. Brown sugar, chocolate and hazelnut that makes for a smooth and creamy finish.

Don’t get me wrong the Tatuaje 10th anniversary Tuxcla is a very nice cigar, I didn’t expect this one to be that good with just one leaf changed from the Tuxcla. It is a very creamy but complex smoke, and $12 per stick is a no-brainer, I have smoke cigars this year that goes from $20 to $30 that are not even close to the quality of this cigar.

Beautiful dark Sumatra wrapper on these. Straight cut to the cap and this has a beautiful draw even with the closed foot.
Wrapper flavors initially give an earthy and sweet coffee note. As you enter the filler the sweetness intensifies and a salty finish lingers on the palate. Retro has minimal pepper but really intensifies the sweet profile on this blend. I’m a few minutes into this cigar and happy I blind bought a box of BE.
End of the first third brings a vegetal note that balances the sweet Sumatra wrapper. Ash is holding nice and steady and flavors intensify in the second third. Still little to no pepper on the retro and a mild tingle on the tongue with each finish. Amazing finish with no drastic changes in the final third. My only complaint is the cigar burned quickly, likely from being dry from transit. Don’t sleep on this new release.
