- Solid value: Priced for accessibility while delivering a fun, strong experience and robust construction
Reviewers describe the experience as upfront and intense: lots of black pepper and coffee, with malty and leathery notes making appearances. The earthy profile and dense smoke output stand out, offering exactly what the “Firecracker” name promises. While transitions are limited by the cigar’s brief smoking time, flavors stay straightforward and satisfying—perfect for those who want impact over refinement. Construction gets consistently positive marks for easy light, strong ash, and a straight burn, while the unique “fuse” cap (tail) is a playful touch, though some prefer removing it for better draw.

How full-bodied is this cigar?
It’s designed to be a full-bodied smoke, with loads of pepper, leather, and espresso, though some may experience it as medium-full depending on palate and tolerance.
What flavors should I expect?
Immediate black pepper, espresso, and leather, with background notes of cedar, earth, spice, and malt; transitions are rapid due to size.
Is it refined or more of a “kick” cigar?
Definitely more on the punchy, robust side—great for quick, bold sessions but not designed for extended, nuanced transitions.
Can you taste the wrapper more on this size?
Yes, especially since the closed foot and short profile let the Mexican San Andrés wrapper’s sweetness come through on the first puffs.
What’s the ideal smoking occasion?
Perfect for a winter break, busy schedule, or anytime you want a “firecracker” of flavor in less than half an hour.
How does the construction rate?

Firecrackers and Mexican San Andreas wrappers are two things I can’t get enough of.
This little guy has a pale brown wrapper and long tail of twisted tobacco from the cap to give it that fire cracker appearance. Normally I’ll let this additional wrapper burn with the cigar but this one is far too thick and interferes with the draw so I pulled it off after cutting the cap.
First few puffs give a generic MSA sweetness with black pepper on the retro. Malt begins to accompany the profile as the cigar burns. Ash is pure white and flakey. There’s a fleeting sour/harsh note on the finish which which becomes more present as the cigar progresses.
This is not a bad cigar but I can’t see myself revisiting it. Definitely the least favorite of all the firecrackers I’ve had over the years.

This little fella surprised me! The fuse-like head looks a bit silly and the whole presentation of the cigar gave off a feel that its a seasonal give away. With that said, it smoked great; straight to the point robust flavor! I’m not the biggest fan of short smoke cigars but this one really delivered in a small package. I also smoked this in pretty cold condition and I don’t think it really hampered the taste. At 6 bucks per, it’s not cheap but nonetheless a fun stick to have in the humidor.

It’s solidly ok. Not as strong as I expected, but still plenty of power there. Lots of pepper and espresso notes, up front and in your face. Is it terribly refined? Not even a little, but it’s not supposed to be. It’s a little kick in the nuts. Some folks are into that sort of thing, and I’m not here to kink shame anyone, but it’s just not my cup of tea. It burned fine. Solidly packed, good construction, and a good price for a little winter smoke.

This was a good solid short smoke. The name firecracker immediately gives one presumption that this little guy would be a pepper bomb. Not the case! It smoked more of a medium strength and body cigar.

I’ve tried a lot of the firecrackers over the years. Some were better than others and this one falls in the middle for me. The strength is there like always. From this I’m getting blk coffee, leather, and blk pepper. There isn’t great depth on this and it’s hard to have any transition on a short stick like this. It kind of gave me what I was looking for, which was a solid quick smoke.
