I enjoyed the scotch bonnet like I have every release of peppers from Viaje. The cigar is bold, spicy, and strong like most of the peppers but this one was more balanced than the others it seemed. I got loads of pepper, Smokey charred cedar, and espresso. The burn for me was very wonky but I waited to see if it’ll correct itself and it did. The ash held on strong as well. If you find them, get them.

Loved both of these. The Phat Scotch Bonnet is very bold and full of flavor. Pretty much what I come to expect from viaje. I feel like the birthday blend was my favorite out of the two. It just hit for me a little better than the scotch bonnet. I felt the balance was better and the vitola was more my speed. Both excellent cigars. Really glad oxford carries these rare blends!
