WALKING IN A WINTER WONDERLAND – The dropping temps mean winter is almost here and more importantly, the holidays. To celebrate this year we are welcoming back Holiday Blend and Holiday Blend Christmas Tree which was last released in 2017. Both Holiday Blend and Christmas Tree arrive as a 5” X 54 and 4” X 60, respectively using all Nicaraguan tobaccos featuring a seldom-seen Corojo99 Maduro wrapper. I left a review of the Christmas Tree Holiday Blend, so I’ll focus on the Viaje Holiday 2022. This cigar is a box pressed 5” X 54 using all Nicaraguan tobaccos with a Corojo99 Maduro wrapper. Right off the bat this one punches the tongue with a typical Viaje spiciness. Flavor notes of well-done caramel, black pepper, molasses cookie, and espresso, with a creamy, dark cocoa, leather finish! Would be a great smoke on a cool night with a coffee after dinner. The cigar burned fairly evenly, but had a flaky ash (see photo). The draw was a little loose. I wish there were more of these available… I hope they don’t wait so long to release these again. If you can find these now that the holidays have passed… buy them!
