EXPLOSIVES AND FIREWORKS 🧨 💥 – Independence Day is around the corner which means we have some very exciting smokes on the way. A July 4th staple, TNT and C4 are set to return clad in a rare Nicaraguan Corojo99 Maduro cover leaf.
To achieve a more harmonious balance of flavors, we allowed this year’s ROMAN CANDLE to age in the box for over a year and a half prior to release. At 9”, RC will get you from BBQ through the firework finale.
Lastly, and a newcomer to the lineup, FLASHING THUNDER makes its debut. Packed in crates of 60, you are sure to enjoy the all-Nicaraguan fillers and binder complemented by an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper. All four smokes will begin shipping in limited quantities next week. These cigars are an excellent way to start the 4th of July weekend off. The Roman candle is freaking huge and an excellent tasting cigar with a very long burn time.

I love Viaje generally, but sometimes they just miss hard. The only cigar I haven’t tried in the pack is the Roman candle just because of the time I’m expect it to take to smoke. The first one I tried was flashing thunder and it was fantastic. The flavors were sweet cream, cedar, baking spice, floral, and graham crackers.
The TNT was the second one I tried and it was good not great. I loved how pepper/spice forward it was, but what I didn’t like was at times there was a dominant earthy/mineral taste I couldn’t get into.
The third one I tried was the c4. The construction/draw was bad, flavors were muted to where I just tasted burnt wet tobacco. Dry boxing may have helped but I think mine was also way over packed.

First of all I enjoyed all of these very much. Some were better than others. I’ll go in order from least favorite to most enjoyable.
C-4: the flavors were ok on this stick. The main problem I had with this one was with the construction. The draw was pretty tight and it required multiple touch ups. Wasn’t a huge fan of the box press.
Roman candle: I enjoyed the flavors on this. Good robust full flavors that I enjoyed while watching fireworks. The sheer size of the cigar makes you set aside enough time to smoke it as I had almost 3 hrs into it.
Flashing Thunder: this was a very well done habano. Got those classic graham cracker, cedar and some leather. Liked this being a standard toro parejo. Smoked very well and great draw.
TNT: this I enjoyed by far the most. Full strength and I love good corojo cigars. The flavors definitely delivered in loads. Spice, earthiness and some baking spice. This was an excellent stick.
