I’ve been trying a lot of Curivari lately because their sticks have been impressing me. I always like a good Sun Grown cigar and wanted to try this. This cigar gives a very elegant feel to it. The flavors I get are raisin toast, light brown sugar, spiced earth and a light cedar note. Love the box press on this. It really does give a great mouth feel. This cigar does smoke wonderfully. The only issue that I had with it is I had to touch it up about 3 times to correct the burn. If the construction would have been better it would have pushed it to 5 stars…. But as it sits it gets a 4. Another solid offering from Curivari and as always at a great price from Oxford!

The Curivari Sun Grown Maduro robusto is a cigar that truly delivers a smoking experience comparable to the high-end Padron, at a fraction of the price ($7.50 before Premier Club or other discount). From the first puff, this cigar delivers a deliciously complex flavor profile, with notes of dark chocolate, espresso, and a hint of spice. The retrohale has white pepper, and flavors found in a peaty Islay scotch on the finish.
The construction of the cigar is exceptional, with a perfectly rolled into a soft box press shape, and firm draw that produces thick and aromatic blue smoke (see photo). The ash holds well and the burn is even throughout the entire smoke. The wrapper is oily and smooth, with a rich dark brown color that is a pleasure to behold.
One of the standout features of the Curivari Sun Grown Maduro is its strength. This cigar packs a punch without being overpowering, making it perfect for both experienced cigar smokers and those who are new to the hobby looking to expand their palate. The balance of strength and flavor is well achieved, making it a truly satisfying smoking experience.
Overall, the Curivari Sun Grown Maduro is a must-try cigar for anyone who enjoys a full-bodied smoke. Its quality and affordability make it a standout in the crowded cigar market, and its similarity to the Padron makes it a real contender for the title of the best cigar in its class. Highly recommended!

The flavor was ok, but the construction was poor here. I’ll try again, it was probably just a dud. For the great Oxford price I’m not upset about it.
