Reviews consistently praise the Year of the Dragon’s exceptional construction and unique flavor evolution[11][12][13]. The uncut foot creates an intense, spicy opening that transforms dramatically once the wrapper joins, offering notes of coffee, cedar, earth, mushroom, baker’s spice, and pepper[15]. While some tasters note occasional draw inconsistencies, the burn remains excellent throughout the extended smoking experience[11]. The cigar delivers remarkable complexity worthy of its $59 price point, though some reviewers suggest trying a sample first due to individual variation[15].
This limited edition represents more than just a cigar—it’s a celebration of tradition, craftsmanship, and the symbolic power of the Dragon. The innovative foot design showcases Davidoff’s technical mastery while honoring Chinese zodiac tradition in unprecedented fashion.

Well it’s called year of the dragon for a reason. This cigar is spicy…mixed with musty notes and some underlying sweetness. Construction was flawless on the one I smoked, long smoke time but not overly packed so slightly shorter than the size would suggest. It’s different and I enjoyed it throughly. Presentation is incredible as well.
