I love me a good lancero. I was excited to try this. I got cocoa, leather and some forward black pepper. The construction on this was solid… I had to touch it up once but nothing bad. The flavors were good but nothing that really wowed me. Can’t complain at the price since lanceros command higher prices since they can be harder to roll. At a sub $5 price point you really can’t go wrong.

The Falto El Surco Cosecheros lancero cigar is a standout offering from the Falto Cigars brand. It is a limited edition release, originally produced for the Puerto Rican market, with only 100 boxes produced, making it a highly sought-after cigar among aficionados.
This lancero vitola is a long and thin cigar (6 7/8×40). Notes of dark chocolate and espresso, with a light touch of vanilla. which provides a long smoking experience with a slow and even burn.
This is a visually appealing cigar, with a only a few visible veins, promising a flavorful smoking experience. The cigar has a medium brown, slightly oily, Habano Vuelta Arriba (HVA) Ecuadorian wrapper over all-Cuban seed tobacco varieties grown in the Dominican Republic, for its binder and filler.
The lancero offers a higher wrapper to filler ratio, resulting in a very complex and full-flavored profile. You can tell that the binder and filler consist of tobaccos that are carefully selected and aged.
Upon lighting, the Falto El Surco Cosecheros lancero cigar delivers an explosion of flavors of coffee, cocoa, and light vanilla notes. As the cigar progresses, the flavors evolve, revealing hints of leather, wood, and earthiness.
The draw is smooth and has a welcome somewhat resistant draw, allowing the smoker to fully savor the complexity of the cigar’s flavors.
Overall, the Falto El Surco Cosecheros lancero cigar is a top-quality offering that is well worth seeking out for any lancero enthusiast. It is a testament to the skill and craftsmanship of Falto Cigars and a testament to the rich and diverse flavors that can be achieved through premium aged tobacco.

Started off with heavy black pepper which I was a bit surprised for a medium strength Lanerco. The black pepper tapered off 10 mins into the cigar. Despite it having a Cameroon wrapper, it didn’t have any of the Cameroon characteristics I have gotten from the Fuente Cameroon (bitter sweetness). One should let this one age a bit and I am sure it will balance out nicely.
