A well made cigar with an easy draw and plenty of smoke. The profile has earthiness and some leather with a touch of bitterness. Floral notes appear sporadically.

The Falto Mentor Toro was not as flavorful and complex as the Falto El Procer Historias but had similar tasting notes. It is almost like the Falto Mentor has lower primings of what the
Falto El Procer Historias had. The flavors notes were latte coffee, chocolate and slight pepper finish.

I think this more standard size helps with the construction but the flavors were still a bit off for me. Hard to complain too much because the price is good, but I got some distinct ammonia off this one. I think they could have used a few more months in the aging room. This was the last of the Faltos I tried, ad I got all of the ones Oxford offered. I don’t like to beat up a new brand, and I hope they get a little more refined and make their way into the market. Overall I think perhaps they overachieved a bit. All of their blends are very unique, and they did a lot of figurados and unusual shapes, but I think they should have just focused on the robustas/toros for now and perfected that before they pushed all these other things out. I feel like they have thrown some spaghetti at the wall and hoped something would stick, but nothing really did for me.
