Unfortunately this turned extremely bitter on me very soon and carried most of the way through the cigar. The only thing that was pretty good on it was the construction. That was fine but the flavors turned sour for me. This definitely wasn’t my favorite.

I’ve been really impressed by Falto Cigars. This was my first outing with the 4×40 Falto Perla Reserva Especial seleccionada petit corona. The wrapper looks smooth with a few minor veins. It is quite dark, shiny and oily. The cigar has a pleasant barnyard aroma pre-light. Toasting the end gives off notes of cedar and leather. As the cigar progresses, dark chocolate notes are dominant, along with French roast coffee and some subtle sweet undertones. It burns slowly and evenly, smokes larger than it is, surprisingly complex and well balanced. If you’re looking for a 20-30 minute cigar this is a great choice. Thanks for the recommendation Lucas!

Pretty underwhelming overall. The start was promising, semi sweet chocolate and pepper forward, but the chocolate gave way pretty quickly to damp earth and bitterness. That was the only transition and it was an unfortunate one. I won’t be smoking it again.
