Ferio Tego Generoso Limited Edition 2021
THE IDEA
Ferio Tego will debut with the 2021 release of two premium cigar styles, Elegancia and Generoso. Both 6” x 50 toros, the two styles will come packed in custom, hand-made travel humidors of ten cigars each. The humidors come preloaded with humidity control packs in the lower compartment of the humidor to ensure the cigars are properly maintained after they are acquired.
“The 2021 Ferio Tego offerings are quite different from one another in style and pedigree, yet both share a commonality of balance and body. A mild cigar need not be thin on the palate nor flavor deficient, and a bolder cigar does not need to be ferocious and aggressive. We worked very hard together with the factories to achieve a full-bodied mouthfeel and presence across both blends in order to establish a ‘house style’ so to speak, while still ensuring the elegant expression of creamier, brighter notes of Elegancia, and the generous presentation of dense, savory notes of Generoso. Both blends stand on their own much the way a winery offers a Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon together.” – Michael Herklots, co-owner Ferio Tego.
- The travel humidor can be used for storage by the collector or be re-used for recreational use or for gift giving. Retailers are encouraged to use the travel humidors as an incentive to sell full boxes, or remaining cigars in a box, or as a stand-alone raffle incentive, offering a chance to win the travel humidor with each purchase of a single cigar.
- Each cigar is banded with the production year to establish a greater culture of conservation, collection, and connoisseurship. Consistently produced limited releases with age statements provide a long-term opportunity for engagement, vertical tastings, and loyal annual re-acquisition.
- 2021 release will be extremely limited. Ferio Tego will remain an ongoing limited, annual release.
Flavors: Reminiscent of amaro, black peppercorn, cacao, cassis, earth, espresso, grilled meat, leather, madeira, tobacco.

This is a very interesting blend.. It’s a lot fuller compared to the Elegancia but has really unique spice notes that I can’t quite place. I enjoyed what it offered but it for some reason it just didn’t connect with me. Objectively a very well blended smoke, just not one I would go out of my way to find. I only had a single of this 2021 version but I have some 2022 to try and compare

Ferio Tego Generoso Limited Edition 2021, Of the two Ferio Tego LE, I prefer the Elegancia. The first few minute this definitely has the distinctive Nicaragua profile the develops into a mellow outline. While being a medium smoke it still has full favor with a citrus finish and floral notes. As you progress through the cigar the oomph level picks with a nice semi- sweet spice (maybe cumin).
