The Foundation Highclere Senetjer packaging leads you to believe it’s a special cigar. The gilded sarcophagus like box is black and gold. When the lid slides back, the treasure is inside. The large perfecto cigars are bound by a black satin ribbon and are a beautiful tribute to the 100th anniversary of the discovery of the tomb of King Tutankhamun. Roll the adventure music! The cigar features a Habano Ecuador 7th Priming wrapper, a Brazilian Mata Fina binder, and an undisclosed filler. The band has an elegant gold foil, purple and black design with Egyptian symbology. There are notes of cinnamon raisin toast and a hint of oak wood. The cigar progresses with a razor sharp burn and solid ash for the first third. The second third has some stone fruit tones, sweet but not overly so. As the second third closes out, it has some rising strength with pepper and more woodiness coming through. The cigar finished with more of as a medium-full smoke than the first two thirds being more medium. Definitely worth the price tag if you’re looking for a cigar that ramps up throughout the smoking experience. It burned for about and hour and a half. I am glad a got a couple, and would buy more.
