The meticulous attention to detail that defines Piece Unique begins with Kyle Gellis personally hand-sourcing every bale of tobacco used in production. From the premium Grade 1 Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper leaf to the carefully selected Dominican and Nicaraguan interior tobaccos, each component was chosen for its exceptional quality and contribution to the final profile. The single pair of rollers entrusted with crafting these cigars at Tabacalera La iSLA in Santiago maintained the highest standards while limiting production to just 150 cigars per day.
Following construction, each cigar underwent a full year of Spanish Cedar aging before boxing. This extended maturation period allows the blend components to marry completely, developing the sophisticated interplay of cream, vanilla, and fruit notes complemented by a refined array of spices. The result is a smoking experience that showcases both complexity and finesse, appealing to collectors who appreciate the convergence of exceptional tobaccos and masterful blending.
The presentation matches the exclusivity of the blend itself. Each piano-finished box houses 15 cigars and arrives complete with a protective dust bag and outer cardboard packaging. This attention to presentation details reinforces the luxury positioning of Piece Unique while ensuring these rare cigars reach their destination in pristine condition. With only 500 boxes produced and the blend never to be repeated, this release stands as a singular achievement in the Gellis Family Cigars portfolio.

To each their own, I suppose – I’ve seen a lot of mixed reviews on this stick, but I thoroughly enjoyed this cigar! It was a creamy smooth smoke from start to finish – I got to enjoy this at a holiday party, so maybe the ambience and environment played a part? But regardless, absolutely a cream bomb for me.

Womp, womp. Not worth the $40 msrp IMO. Way better Connecticut options for far less. I wasn’t the biggest fan of the Saunter but I’d smoke that one over the Piece Unique. Especially when I get a few Saunter for the price of one of these.
