Warped Cigars is the boutique cigar brand founded by blender Kyle Gellis, and its lines are made at several factories: Cigar Aficionado reports that Isla del Cocodrilo is rolled at Tabacalera La Isla in the Dominican Republic and that Sarto is made at NACSA in Nicaragua. Typical notes vary by line: Isla del Cocodrilo moves from cedar, hay and white pepper into cream, butterscotch and caramel; the short Isla del Cocodrilo Croc Bites leans toward dried fruit and earthy depth; Sarto brings bold earth and cracked black pepper with fennel, cardamom and fig. Kyle Gellis established Warped in 2007, and it has built a portfolio of distinct lines — working with master torcedors at El Titan de Bronze in Miami’s Little Havana and the TABSA factory in Nicaragua, to produce small-batch cigars that reward patient smokers with uncommon complexity.

Limited to 100 cigars per day by master rollers with Cuban training, La Colmena (“The Beehive”) is the standard against which Warped measures everything else.
