I’ve smoked the flying pig vitola enough time now to know that it’s not really for me. Never once has the construction been good, and often it falls short of decent. This one fell into the decent category, lots of touch ups, a relight, and it just never drew quite right. When I was able to get a nice mouthful of smoke I got wha I expect from the no. 9 – dark cocoa, black pepper, chili, black coffee. It’s excellent tobacco, I just wish they’d stop wasting it on this vitola. I’ll take a robusta or toro any day.
