This cigar was inspired by the broadleaf puros Steve Saka first encountered from Sr. Frank Llaneza and Sr. Estelo Padron at the HATSA factory in Honduras. Those early cigars, though less refined than modern blends, had a flavor explosion that left a profound mark on Saka’s cigar-making journey.

This takes the flavor that I love from both the blue band and the Triqui Traca and just amplifies it. I smoked the Sakakhans and loved them too, but I don’t get after them too often because I don’t usually have 2+ hours to smoke. This is perfect, in and out in an hour and fully satisfied. I would buy a box when they come back in stock.

I mean really, who isn’t going to enjoy a cigar from Dunbarton? The stuff Saka puts out is always great (in my opinion). As usual fantastic construction, great smoke output and solid flavor.

I thoroughly enjoyed this cigar. The size and flavor profile are my go-to choice. It delivers bold flavors with a lingering sweetness, although its strength intensifies towards the finish. Ensure you have some chocolate peanut butter protein bar or something with sugar on hand as the strength catches up with you.

No surprise here, an absolute banger from Saka once again. Flavor bomb with exceptional construction per usual from Dunbarton. You’ll be met with black pepper, coffee, chocolate and a sweetness that sits on the palette. Great balance and a definite box worthy cigar.

Dunbarton’s quality is always top notch. I enjoyed these cigars, but they are a bit more spicier than most cigars. If that’s what you are looking for, I think you will really like these. If not, I would recommend the regular ones.

To say I was excited to try this was an understatement. I tried the Sakakhan and liked that. First off I like that this is a smaller ring gauge as the sakakhan was a 54 and this a 48 which is more my liking. This just absolutely oozed flavor. This gave me woody, leathery notes as well as a black pepper spice finish on it. The flavors on this are just incredible and continue to pop all the way through. At times I get a dark coffee note. The finish on this is super clean and leaves me wanting to just keep coming back to it. My patience was rewarded as I smoked this at an adequate pace and it performed perfectly. Construction was top notch. It’s easy to see why this cigar has gotten so much acclaim this year. Super glad I grabbed a box of these as I’m curious to see if age does any benefit to it. All I can say is Wow!
