You think the larger ring gauge would maybe mellow this out or it would lose its signature cedar, coffee and spice? Nope. Brilliant blending to retain the characteristics of the smaller ring gauges and still deliver a smooth wonderful Padron smoking experience.

I don’t usually smoke 60 rings but this is a Padron 26, so I happily made an exception. The box press makes it feel smaller, but the flavor and draw are so nice I wouldn’t mind if it were otherwise. It started off pretty pepper forward but died down quickly, settling into a hot cocoa and smooth leather combo. Absolutely phenomenal flavor, worth every penny.

The No 48 Natural started out with a mix of earthiness and peanut butter. I got the usual Padron notes of cocoa, cedar and white pepper. There were two sides to this Padron 1) the 60 ring gauge with a soft box press is still too big for my preference and 2) wide open draw with zero resistance. If you were smoking at night you probably would not know if you were getting any smoke or not as the cigar was so wide open. Regardless of these two downticks you will still enjoy your classic Padron notes.
